Job Description

The Opportunity:

15-month contract

As a designer for one of Canada’s leading retailers, you will help bring our offering to the next level, by targeting trends, and interpreting them for our shoppers.

What You Do

With guidance and direction from manager:

• Support your leaders by defining seasonal trends for target market
• Within your commodity, bring forward your awesome ideas on how to bring the latest trends to our clients.
• Work with your teammates, and oversee creation of artwork and determine seasonal color cards
• Oversee the technical drawings
• Assist in decision making meetings
• Attend fittings to make sure the garments fit as well as they look
  
  

Qualifications

Who you are:

• University degree (or College diploma) in Fashion Design
• Minimum 5 years of related experience
• Excellent fashion sense and knack for originality and creativity
