Description

For this Bookkeeper opening, Robert Half is partnered with a manufacturing firm located in Vaughan, Ontario. The role revolves around maintaining financial records, processing payments, and handling various bookkeeping and accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate biweekly payroll operations ensuring timely and accurate payments
• Prepare and track journal entries for maintaining accurate financial records
• Process invoices and payments in a timely manner
• Manage EFT/ACH and wire payments to ensure smooth transactions
• Prepare monthly visa expense reports for company-wide visibility of expenses
• Handle monthly HST filing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and transparency
• Oversee WSIB filing, ensuring adherence to workplace safety and insurance regulations
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation.
• Experience in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations.
• Demonstrable bookkeeping skills.
• Proficient in data entry tasks.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in month end close.
• Payroll management skills are essential.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
