Business Development Manager

Description

Our Manufacturing client are looking to hire a Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a proven record of successful sales and creating sales strategies. This position will oversee two sales reps and you will support them with their sales strategies.

Responsibilities

• 50% of your time will be spent overseeing the outside sales department.
• 50% of your time will be spent on prospect new business and clients both virtually and in person.
• Gain high level industry knowledge to develop key sales solutions.
• Promote company products to prospect clients.
• Build and nurture strong business relationships with current and potential clients.
• Provide training and guidance to 2 outside sales staff reporting into you.
• Plan and oversee marketing initiatives.
• Develop key goals for team and business growth and development and ensuring they are met regularly.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Management or leadership experience.
• 3 - 4 years' prior business development experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies.
• Focused and goal-oriented.
• Eligible to travel across Western Canada, California, Washington & Oregon.
