Our client who operates multiple businesses across Manitoba is looking to onboard an IT Generalist/ Systems Administrator to be the main point of contact for any IT related issues and initiatives. Our client is looking to hire an IT Generalist that can help them move their IT practice inhouse and away from the MSP who currently supports them to support 9 employees across all the companies and their external clients.

Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from a Managed Service Provider (MSP) to an in-house IT model, ensuring a seamless migration of services and IT operations continuity.
- Establish a cloud-based environment for hosting the company’s applications and supporting daily operations.
- Administer IT systems like servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Offer hands-on IT support for employees across multiple businesses, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Manage enterprise applications, especially SAGE 300, ensuring smooth operations and updates.
- Support the implementation of business applications such as QuickBooks, SAP Business One, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Monitor IT infrastructure for potential security risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate threats.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current IT needs and future requirements, delivering technology solutions that align with business objectives.
- Develop IT policies and procedures to establish best practices for system security, disaster recovery, and user support.
- Manage third-party vendors for specialized IT projects or support while ensuring internal staff is trained on core IT operations.
Requirements
- Must have 5 years of experience as a Cloud System Administrator
- Proficient in AWS Technologies
- Extensive knowledge of Backup Technologies
- Expertise in Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Connect
- Experience with Sage 300 software
- Familiarity with VMware Infrastructure, VMware, and Hyper-V
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
