Our client is seeking an IT Director to join their team in Ottawa, Ontario. In this role, you will have the opportunity to steer the technological direction of our organization, ensuring alignment with business goals. This includes managing day-to-day IT operations, implementing AI projects, and overseeing ERP project initiatives to optimize business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion the development of the overall technology strategy and roadmap to align all corporate technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the stability and security of technology systems and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with AI, Data, and cross-functional teams to implement AI projects that enhance decision-making processes and drive business growth.
- Develop and manage an ERP center of excellence, line of business application portfolio, and project initiatives to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Evaluate key technologies to identify opportunities for integration and enhancement, ensuring alignment with strategic plans and growth objectives.
- Manage technology budgets and timelines for projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Document processes and best practices to facilitate knowledge transfer and efficient utilization of technology resources across the organization.
- Implement training programs to meet the needs of all business units and teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, with a focus on security and environmental sustainability.
- Develop and implement the organization's information security strategy, policies, and procedures to safeguard company data and assets.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners to evaluate new technologies and negotiate contracts to support business objectives.
- Promote the adoption of digital platforms to enhance scalability and flexibility in IT operations.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation and improvement within the organization.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance with information security policies.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as an IT Director
- Demonstrable knowledge of Cisco Technologies
- Proficiency in Cloud Technologies
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Familiarity with Database management and operations
- Understanding of EO/IR systems
- Proficiency in Backup Technologies
- Comprehensive knowledge of Computer Hardware
- Familiarity with Deployments and Design controls
- Skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies
- Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Advanced IT knowledge and ability to stay informed about current trends and advancements in the industry.
