Head Bartender

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in a bar setting, enjoys working in a busy environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. A successful candidate will have industry experience, a passion for mixology, and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and take orders in a friendly and professional manner.
• Submit stock orders for bar liquor and non-alcoholic
• Maintain POS configuration
• Track and validate inventory levels
• Arrange with and assist in NSLC deliveries
• Create staff schedules
• Complete bank deposits
• Submit timesheets and sales reports to treasurer
• Train new staff members
• Assist staff and Legion Executive with any issues at the bar
• Mix drinks according to recipes and customer requests
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area
• Ensure that all liquor, beer, wine, and other beverages are stored properly
• Ensure that all bar equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Assist with stocking and inventory of bar supplies
• Provide excellent customer service
• Preform VLT payouts
• Cash handling
• Enforce Provincial liquor legislation & regulations
• Lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Successful candidate must have or be willing to acquire “Responsible Beverage Service Certificate” and “VLT Training Certificate”. Both are available via online training

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Bartending: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Responsible Gambling Certificate (required)
• Responsible Beverage Service Certificate (required)
