This is a 12-month contract position with the potential for an extension of up to 18 months. The Cashroom Supervisor is responsible for all receiving, distribution, and maintenance of cash & cash equivalent for SSP restaurants in both Toronto Pearson and Billy Bishop Airports. SSP Canada operates several restaurants throughout YYZ Toronto Pearson International Airport and YTZ Billy Bishop Airport Our restaurants include: Market @ 416, Tim Horton’s, Freshii, Boccone, Mill Street, Camden, Urban Crave, Tap & Pour, Dirty Bird, Distillery Food Hall, Built Burger, Upper Crust.
Essential Functions

Management of the property safe including petty cash, cash drawers, and any/all monies to be deposited in the bank.

Conduct and be responsible for cash audits. Perform weekly audits in YYZ and at least biweekly in YTZ.

Maintenance and cash balances of Glory safes. Ensure weekly maintenance are performed in accordance to set standards.

Follow all property procedures involving any cash entering or leaving the cash room.

Prepare bank deposits, change orders, and reconcile cash daily from prior days business. Reconciliation of deposits with amounts received in bank on a weekly basis.

Prepare, order, and receive change orders from the bank in accordance with set standards.

Accurately reconciling daily cash and vouchers of sales associates through Lynx BM, reporting variances, if any and closing the week on LynxBM as per set weekly deadline.

Invoicing vouchers to airlines weekly and follow up for payment from airlines.

Maintaining access controls on CI server including creating access for new recruits, deletion for separations, and modification of access, as necessary.

Notify Director and Controller immediately about any cash discrepancies.

Follow and prepare all required paperwork for financial reporting as required by Controller.
Skills and Other Requirements

Degree or diploma with specialization in Accounting strongly preferred (or equivalent experience).

Minimum two years of cash room experience; or cash handling experience in a financial institution.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
