St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre Brantford is seeking a temporary
HR Summer Student to join the Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate would be dedicated and committed to championing SJLCB's mission, vision, values, and policies.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with day to day HR administrative support in a variety of functions including but not limited to recruitment, employee records, and HR-related projects and initiatives.
This is a temporary full-time summer position that is on-site in Brantford, Ontario.
Key Accountabilities:

Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.

Maintain employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork and conducting orientation sessions.

Assist in organizing and coordinating training and development initiatives for staff. Provide administrative support for HR-related projects and initiatives.

Assist with the preparation of ad hoc reports and meeting material;

Responsible for general Human Resources administration;

Perform filing and maintain filing system;

Ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary HR or Business Administration program or equivalent.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills: verbal and written.

Ability to work collaboratively and in a team setting.

A results-driven self-starter with a strong work ethic.

Initiative and creativity comfortable with taking on and completing ad-hoc tasks as required.

Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.

Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.

Demonstrated strong internal customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels and client groups of the organization.
