Our apartments are "home" to our residents, offering modern comforts, renovated interiors and exteriors, and building and community amenities in various communities. In order to assure our customer’s satisfaction, we are looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician/Painter.

The successful candidate will be responsible to complete different work orders with a particular strength in Drywall Repair/Painting. Other abilities include but are not limited to carpentry, minor electrical, minor plumbing, plastering and basic appliance repairs. The duties of the Employee shall include, but are not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diligent and quality workmanship
  • Cover and protect all surfaces (interior and/or exterior)
  • Prep paint surface areas – sand and scrap (to smooth and even surface)
  • Drywall repair, filing holes, washing walls, and caulk where needed
  • Prime/seal any bare material
  • Apply 2 coats (min.) of paint to surfaces
  • Site clean-up (daily)
  • Setting up and use of ladders and scaffolding
  • Focus on task completion in a timely manner without compromising quality
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of multi– Residential Highrises
  • Have the tools required to complete the responsibilities of the job effectively and correctly
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions effectively as well as to create and maintain effective working relationships with members of TerraCorp Management Inc.’s staff, subcontractors, tenants, and visitors

Skills and Experience:

  • Painting - 5 years (Preferred)
  • General Maintenance - 5 years (Preferred)
  • Drywalling - 2 years (Preferred)
  • Electrical (minor) - 2 years (Preferred)
  • Carpentry - 3 years (Preferred)
  • Minor Plumbing repairs
  • Great attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented
  • Good communication skills, to ensure items are addressed as needed
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Must have their own vehicle
