We are seeking a General Manager with a strong work ethic and excellent management skills to join our team!
The ideal candidate should possess problem-solving abilities, be extremely flexible and innovative. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently while also being able to lead a team.Experience in management is a must. A background in ceramics, pottery or a cafe considered a strong asset.
As a General Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring they align with the procedures and standards set by the store owners. This includes managing personnel, operations, and inventory to maintain smooth and efficient daily functioning. You will play a crucial role in training and supervising staff, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions. Additionally, you'll be tasked with ensuring all sales transactions are reconciled daily and deposits are managed appropriately.
A key aspect of your role will be prioritizing customer satisfaction. You'll need to be customer-focused, ensuring that customers are well taken care of and addressing any inquiries or issues promptly.
Maintaining cleanliness and efficiency within the studio and café area will be essential. This includes tasks such as ensuring stock shelves are tidy, cleaning tables and buckets regularly, and managing reservations. You'll also be responsible for supervising staff, training them to meet and exceed expectations, and addressing any performance issues or concerns that may arise.
Administrative duties will encompass tasks such as preparing schedules, managing social media accounts, responding to emails and inquiries, and assisting in developing business strategies for the future. You'll also be involved in sales and financial management, including handling cash deposits, maintaining inventory levels, and merchandising shelves.
In tandem with our Assistant Manager and Espresso Bar Lead, you'll be involved in creating and executing seasonal menus, assisting in vendor decisions, and training new baristas. You'll also be responsible for ensuring proper maintenance of equipment such as the espresso machine and monitoring baked goods stock levels.
Overall, as the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the store by effectively managing operations, personnel, and customer satisfaction while also handling administrative and financial responsibilities.
