We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Dog Walker to join our team.
In this role you will be responsible for providing exercise, companionship, and care for all dogs while their owners are unavailable. Your primary duties will involve picking up and dropping off dogs from their homes, walking the dogs, following specific instructions, and ensuring their safety and well- being.
Key Responsibilities
Dog Walking
- Take up to 6 dogs of various size and breeds off leash on scheduled walks, ensuring they are safe, happy and receive adequate physical activity. (minimum 1 hour on trail)
- Provide basic training and behavioral reinforcement as needed. Monitor their health and address any immediate concerns.
- Pick up and dispose of all dog waste responsibly during walks.
- Respect all other trail users.
Follow Instructions - Adhere to any specific instructions from pet owners or managament regarding dogs in your care.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid BC Drivers license.
- Must have a reliable, dog friendly vehicle that can safely transport up to 6 dogs.
- Must live in North or West Vancouver. (or just minutes over the bridge)
- Must be physically fit, able to walk 3-4 hours per day in various weather conditions and handle up to 6 dogs on and off leash of various sizes and energy levels.
- Must be reliable, punctual, able to work independently and can commit a minimum of 1 year of your time to Urban dog.
Previous experience with dog walking or dog care is preferred but not required.
This is a part time sub contract position, leading to full time.

Hours of operation are monday - friday, 7:30am-4pm
