Team Member/Cook

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, possess strong food preparation skills, and adhere to food safety standards. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we want to hear from you. This position is at a hockey rink in Burlington- the love of hockey is not necessary, but a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen work area
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient operations
- Follow proper food handling procedures
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook or relevant role in a restaurant or food service setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Understanding of kitchen operations and equipment
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every Weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Cooking: 1 year (required)

Language:

• English (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Food Handler Certification (required)
• Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
