Overview of role:

Reporting to the Manager – Airworthiness, the Compliance Officer will ensure that aircraft maintenance is conducted according to approved policies and standards. Compliance Officers perform inspections, audits, task observation, data analysis and engage with our Technical Training Department to ensure compliance and achieve product risk reduction objectives.

This position is a Band 8 role and ineligible for ACA premium. Standard office hours apply.

Key deliverables include:

• Performing independent safety inspections, task observations and other monitoring activities to ensure legacy and new barriers remain effective to ensure compliance and reduce task error

• Developing corrective action plans against occurrences and audit findings pertaining to the performance of maintenance by the AMO

• Coaching and mentoring maintenance personnel to ensure quality data management and adherence to approved manuals and procedures

• Reducing regulatory exposure by auditing in-process and completed technical records and identifying opportunities for improvement

• Analyzing trends and developing action plans to reduce task error

• Developing awareness and promoting safety among Technical Operations and Stores personnel to maintain regulatory and corporate policy compliance

  
  

Experience and qualifications:

• A diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Avionics from an accredited college or technical school

• Possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License (M2 or E)

• Minimum 10 years of experience performing and/or overseeing maintenance activities

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders in the Tech Ops BU
