Job Overview:
As a Computer Operator in an Grocery Supermarket, your primary responsibility is to efficiently manage and oversee computer systems and related equipment to support the smooth functioning of the store's operations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, sales, and other essential data.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Data Entry and Management:**
- Input and update product information, prices, and stock levels into the computerized system.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry to reflect inventory changes, sales transactions, and other relevant information.
2. **Inventory Control:**
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocks.
- Generate reports on inventory turnover, slow-moving items, and other relevant metrics.
3. **Sales Support:**
- Process sales transactions accurately through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Generate sales reports and analyze trends to support decision-making.
4. **System Maintenance:**
- Regularly perform system backups to safeguard data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to computers, printers, and other equipment.
5. **Communication:**
- Collaborate with store management and other departments to ensure seamless information flow.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding product information, orders, and deliveries.
6. **Customer Service:**
- Assist customers with inquiries related to product availability, prices, and promotions.
- Provide support for loyalty programs and customer accounts.

Qualifications and Skills:
