We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer with expertise in math and science equations, along with experience in MathType or comparable software, to join our creative team.

Position Overview:

As a DTP Designer with a strong focus on math and science equations, you will play a pivotal role in creating visually captivating and pedagogically effective educational materials. Your creativity, attention to detail, technical proficiency in graphic design software, and experience in MathType or similar programs will contribute to the development of innovative designs that enhance the learning experience for students.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the content development team to understand the educational objectives and requirements for math and science books.
• Create visually appealing designs, illustrations, and graphics that effectively communicate complex math and science concepts and equations.
• Utilize graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and MathType (or similar software) to create accurate and visually pleasing equations and mathematical notations.
• Design and layout book covers, page templates, infographics, and other visual elements using industry-standard software.
• Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across various educational materials.
• Collaborate closely with authors, editors, and other stakeholders to incorporate their feedback and ideas into the design process.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in graphic design, typography, and educational visuals to ensure our materials remain fresh and engaging.
• Maintain organized files and documentation of design assets for easy retrieval and future reference.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless integration of graphics and designs into the final printed or digital materials.
• Conduct quality checks on final deliverables to ensure they meet the company's high standards for visual excellence and educational effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in the educational publishing industry.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing math and science equations, illustrations, and educational materials.
• Proficiency in graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Experience in using MathType or comparable software for creating accurate and visually appealing equations and mathematical notations.
• Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Familiarity with printing processes and specifications for book production.
• Solid understanding of math and science concepts, equations, and notations.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in reproducing equations and mathematical notations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to incorporate feedback and work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
