The Role:
The Payroll Administrator for 1-800Accountant will own the entirety of the payroll function. We are looking for a Payroll Administrator with experience working with ADP’s Workforce Now. This position will be responsible for all elements of processing payroll, quarterly and year end tax filings, resolving employee payroll concerns, and many other elements of payroll and accounting.
This role will be in office 2 days a week and remote 3 days a week
Compensation: Starting at $75,000
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employee population
- Oversee Time and Attendance - process timecards within ADP and ensure accuracy
- Monthly reconciliation of benefits/ invoices
- Understand/Improve payroll processes to create efficiencies as needed
- Ensure that all payroll tax matters are resolved in a timely manner
- Handle multi jurisdiction registrations as needed while maintaining state withholding and unemployment agency accounts
- Communicate effectively with all levels in the organization and resolving topics presented
- Process 1099 contractor payments in accordance with bi-weekly processing schedule
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 5 years of professional experience processing payroll
- Experience processing employee volume of 500
- Experience working in a complex, multiple-entity and State business structure
- Experience with ADP a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Equivalent Preferred
- System implementation experience preferred
