Schedule: Full time - 36 hours/week or greater Shift: First Shift (Days - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America) Weekly Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Job Information Exemption Status: Non-Exempt A Brief Overview The Business Coordinator supports the operation of the Laboratory System to develop, implement and monitor systems which enable efficient oversight of supplies, accounts payable, and department expenditures. Assists the laboratory director(s) with the budget process. Provides analysis and data for laboratory client billing. Education Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Business administration or a related field. Required Experience Qualifications 3 years Administrative or related experience. Required 1 year Laboratory operations, billing, coding. Preferred Skills and Abilities Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. (Required proficiency) Good verbal and written communication skills. (Required proficiency) Proficient with business applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation applications. (Required proficiency) Strong attention to detail. (Required proficiency) Ability to present numerical data effectively. (Preferred proficiency) Ability to analyze business trends, project budgeting and expenses. (Preferred proficiency) What you will do Supply chain management: Coordinates all activities related to requisition of supplies. Manages projects team and negotiates with vendors in conjunction with Supply Chain Sourcing team. Creates and maintains records of standing orders, delivery dates and renewal dates. Communicates with sales representatives regarding pricing issues, backorders, new products, etc. Develops systems within all laboratory system cost centers to monitor activity, product utilization, and expenditures. Works with department leader to analyze monthly financial statements and assists in defining rationale for budget variances. Oversees laboratory client billing. Acts as a resource for clients and Regional Relations staff to resolve charging/billing errors. Assists director with annual review of client fee schedule. Assists with capital equipment purchases by requesting quotes and gathering details for the capital request process. Assists department leaders with maintaining equipment inventories and developing a strategic replacement calendar for capital equipment for laboratory locations. Maintains list of equipment service contracts. Assists laboratory director(s) with monthly operating review reports and presentation to administration and operational groups. Assists the laboratory director(s) with contract management. Assists with weekly payroll responsibilities. Supports anatomic pathology professional group with billing support. Compiles information for anatomic pathology technical billing. Develops and implements resources for laboratory supply chain management. Trains staff on supply chain management and electronic ordering systems. Travel Requirements 20% Visit laboratory sites as needed for training, process improvement projects, and conversions of new locations.
