As SOX Specialist, you will ensure the effectiveness of our internal controls related to SOX sections 302 and 404 compliance as you think beyond the status quo to solve sophisticated problems that affect our business. You will connect with business partners and external auditors to identify risks and make decisions around controls for risk mitigation. The ability to communicate with senior leaders, handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work independently are keys to success! Responsibilities/Expectations: Ensures that documentation for all processes is reviewed; facilitates meetings to discuss results Evaluates the severity of control deficiencies; devises and implements remediation plan with impacted process owners Monitors and performs limited testing of internal controls Coordinates external audit requests to ensure efficient interaction between company and the auditors Facilitates the completion of required documentation, summarizes results and reviews with leaders Coordinates quarterly evaluation of changes in internal controls Performs annual review of the segregation of duties for certain systems and/or businesses Assists with performing/reviewing annual system access certifications Leads/supports special projects Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of five (5) years' experience as an auditor or in a SOX compliance role Preferred: A minimum of seven (7) years' experience as an auditor or in a SOX compliance role Other Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills Deep understanding of the design and effectiveness of internal controls Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem solving skills Preferred: Experience with project management, Onspring and Microsoft Power Apps #LI-HYBRID #LI-JB1 About Tulsa: Our corporate headquarters is located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, the 2nd largest city in Oklahoma and the 47th most populous in the U.S. Tulsa is known as the Mother of "The Mother Road" - Route 66, and boasts impressive art deco architecture, the #1 city park in the U.S. (The Gathering Place) and is a great venue for live music.
