Position Summary
The Product Line Manager's (PLM) primary role is to provide product, market, competitor, and supplier intelligence to key stakeholders at the company. Their clear objective is increasing market share, establishing operational and functional Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while being the subject matter expert (SME) for their respective category. Additionally, the PLM will help drive and define product, pricing, market positioning, and promotion strategies to ensure the business unit grows at the desired rate. This position is in a very fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere, so any potential hire must be ready to hit the ground running on day one.

Compensation: $100,000 to $130,000 annually. Exempt position not eligible for overtime.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use Product Line Management software to ensure development data is well organized, correctly inputted, and meets the needs of the organization.
- Provides competitive analysis including analyzing sales data, market trends, and market opportunities. Provides data-driven advice on pricing and promotional decisions while driving recommendations and guidance.
- Owns a product or multiple features within a product category and proposes enhancements to the core features while participating in the execution of changes to product features/functions.
- Develops, and executes elements of the product roadmap, works with resources across (and potentially outside) the organization.
- Possesses expert ability to work with cross functional teams to align requirements and promote an atmosphere of results.
- Translates user requirements into features to help guide the deliverables of the internal development team while empowering factories to produce world-class product.
- Accountable for planning and supporting the performance of a core development calendar, used to keep the essential mission of the business sector within the agreed-upon scope.
- Define product strategy including product diversification, features, and options; Translate product strategy into detailed requirements. Train the core stakeholders to understand and appreciate the performance-oriented nature of the product line.
- Monitors the creation and development of new products and performs ongoing market research; tracks customer satisfaction and participates in the product decision-making process to measure product success.
- Leads structured meetings to clearly communicate expectations, plans, and requirements for all cross-functional teams and ensures stakeholders are kept up-to-date on progress.
- Manages expectations. Facilitates process mapping, gap analysis, data flow to help assess business implications of feature, tool, or platform.
- Conducts analysis to determine how features are performing and how they can be improved, including trend line analysis, multivariate analysis, etc.
- Capable of reviewing and understanding operational processes within the related areas of the business and identifying areas for improvement or innovation, evaluating potential cost-benefits.
- Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the different customers of the feature and applies this in developing proposals and executing changes.
- Has successfully developed and implemented a system/product/service/feature for a customer, evaluated its performance, and proposed and executed approaches to continually improve it.
- Has developed credibility and strong working relationships with technical and creative colleagues.
- Works with the procurement and supply chain teams to develop order forms, sell-in sheets, and ensures all Purchase Orders are scrubbed for accuracy and data.
- Provides marketing and brand departments with a full master shot list of new and updated SKUs that require assets or other marketing pushes.
- Requests and maintain Unit of Measures (UOMs), product dimension configurations, bill of materials (BOM), and item weights in Centric.
- Proof seasonal workbooks to ensure visual line plan (VLP), Airtable and Netsuite contain accurate and clean data.
- Create and enter UPC/SKU/GTIN/UOM in our internal systems
- Verify information with suppliers on a set cadence to ensure information in our systems is accurate
- Request and create COCs (certificates of compliance) each season with all vendors; add docs to DRIVE
- Ensures CE certificates are filed on DRIVE & added to our website
- Sends out product testing samples and obtains follow-up notes to share with executive counsel.
- Organize seasonal files in Google Drive by category (design comps, packaging, label art, special make ups (SMUs), and team gear)
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite required.
- Must be able to determine priorities and act on them in a highly ambiguous environment
- Masterful business acumen with the ability to utilize statistics to analyze and recognize trends to provide data-driven solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating with cross-functional teams to develop business strategy.
- Ability to be innovative in meeting overall goals of the product line.
- Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and new product launches while being the subject matter expert for the product category.
