Performs various duties with “Safety First” mindset, working with the team to support the operations associated with entering and removing barrels from warehouses. Will operate a forklift and flatbed truck. Inventory management responsibilities including but not limited to accurately logging inventory movements and executing cycle counts. Will select, store and transport barrels. Responsibilities: Safety/Environmental Promote accident prevention by adhering to all safety guidelines and standards, actively participating in all required training, identifying, communicating and eliminating potential hazards and maintaining consistent communication with Health & Safety Manager and EHS Committee Perform daily pre-shift FLT checks in accordance with SOP Adhere to all PPE guidelines, including wearing steel toed/slip resistant safety shoes, hair net or ball cap, beard net, hearing protection, safety glasses and gloves, as required Morale Contribute to a team environment, providing support to other areas of the operation as needed and adapting to change in a positive and professional manner Communicate in a professional and respectful manner at all times and to all colleagues, contractors and visitors Demonstrate strong relationship building skills Actively seek diverse points of view to help make decisions and solve problems Effectively and professionally work with people from a wide range of backgrounds/skills Quality Verify accuracy of barrel put-away against SAP documentation Complete housekeeping and sanitation duties, per schedule Participate in monthly and annual housekeeping and sanitation audits in partnership with Quality Control Productivity Unload racked trailers and palletize barrels Operate heavy PIE and flat bed truck daily Enter and remove palletized barrels from warehouses in accordance with SOP. Collect samples of barreled whiskey Load and unload Conestoga Trailers as needed to store new make barrels. Participate in downtime recording activities, partnering with maintenance and plant production leader to conduct root cause analysis and develop and implement continuous improvement solutions Provide troubleshooting and corrective action support to mechanics Supporting all and any CI teams involved with Warehousing operations As needed, provide support in relocating and pulling aged barrels.
