What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concierge position at 1000 North?
1000 NORTH is seeking a Concierge with a membership experience. The Concierge will be responsible for all things related to member and guest experiences including on and off site private events. Will be a direct link between members and the restaurant.
Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Nurture the relationship with the restaurant and its members
- Assist the Director of Marketing and Membership and the Director of Events
- Maintain constant communication with the Club Lounge to ensure efficient member seating and dining flow
- Oversee the service of the membership and Host stand from Door to Door
- Communicate with host team to coordinate the day to day needs of membership/guests
- Work closely with the Membership Director and the Director of Member Service to maintain a member database with personal preferences for each
- Maintain constant communication with the Club Lounge to ensure efficient member seating and dining flow
- Act as the Lead Concierge when necessary
- Understand all catering menus including substitutions, new menu items and allergy/food restrictions
- Understand all dining rooms including substitutions, new menu items and allergy/food restrictions
- Answer questions regarding menus and availability of dates for potential guests
- Understand the service style of the restaurant
- Utilize salesmanship techniques by up selling food, liquor, service, etc.
- Respond knowledgeably to questions about the restaurant and menu
- Complete server and host training
- Proficiency in servicing catering calls
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu through frequent tastings and attending periodic shift meetings
- Attend Membership and host meetings, communicate all pertinent information to appropriate personnel
- Be a role model and lead by example in terms of professionalism, positive spirit, can-do attitude, outstanding grooming standards, work ethic
- Constantly strive to increase revenue through suggestive selling and reservation management
