Software Engineer

Research Strategic Business Unit’s (SBU) Engineering is responsible for FactSet’s industry leading Market Data, deep-dive Reporting and Research management products highlighting FactSet’s proprietary content to the global financial community. These products are used by thousands of Asset Managers, Investment Bankers and Corporate clients around the world every day to assist with investment decisions, market monitoring, company and economic analysis and sharing of buy/sell decisions and the presentation of results. The Screening development team is currently responsible for delivering outcomes for two of the SBU’s highest priority roadmaps (Private Markets and Deep Sector). The team’s mission is to deliver and integrate new content and capabilities into screening workflows for Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, and other users that utilize private market and sector specific KPIs. This team is a group of high performance members representing different functional roles with all the necessary skills to create an enterprise solution. We are looking for a motivated and talented Software Engineer to join us as we build this product. This collaborative position involves infrastructure design, significant code development, code review and development documentation. Essential Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field. 3 years of software development experience. Programming experience in Go, Java, C , or Python. Programming experience with JavaScript, VueJS, Node.js, NPM, Webpack and/or Jest. Experience with modern front-end Web development stack & tooling. Experience in designing and delivering APIs and building large scale applications or services Experience in iterative and incremental software development frameworks such as Agile or Scrum with globally distributed teams.
