Children’s Services Study Coordinator
Charleston, WV – remote working position
Job Description:
ICF seeks a Study Coordinator to support two evaluations of children’s behavioral health programs in West Virginia. This position entails: 1) working closely with the principal investigator study team to execute local study activities; 2) coordinating with team study leads to schedule and coordinate study logistics; 3) serving as a primary point of contact for local study partners and organizations engaged in study implementation; 4) leading study tasks and assisting in the performance of social science research and program evaluation. In addition, this position will assist in contract and/or grant proposal efforts by writing key sections and assisting proposal managers as needed.
Study experience (design, planning, and execution) is required – qualitative, qualitative or mixed methods experience is flexible. Experience in any of the following content areas is desirable but not required: children’s behavioral health (mental health, substance use/misuse and its prevention), suicide prevention, adolescent health, child welfare, and behavioral health. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently to solve problems creatively and work effectively within a team, while contributing to overall project goals across multiple study components. Candidates must be able to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information from a variety of sources and juggle multiple tasks, have familiarity with public health and human services issues outside of public health (e.g., justice related issues). The coordinator must be able to interact professionally and communicate clearly and effectively (verbal and written) with clients, state-level agency leaders, and ICF colleagues.
