Criminal Justice Deputy Project Director ICF is looking for a talented, highly motivated Deputy Project Director to join our Justice, Workforce, and Community Development Line of Business to support a large government contract in the DC metro area. The ideal candidate will be a proven criminal justice leader with a superior track record of managing projects and providing national training and technical assistance in the criminal justice field. The Deputy Project Director will be responsible for managing a large-scale criminal justice training and technical assistance project (TTA) focused on providing a range of assistance to state, local, and tribal criminal justice agencies to strengthen the nations criminal justice system, reducing incarceration, rooting out disparities in the system, preventing crime, and making communities safer. You will work closely with subject matter experts, other ICF stakeholders, and external partners and foster a “one ICF” solution. This role is remote, but travel to client sites in Washington, DC, ICF offices, and conferences will be required once business travel resumes. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with federal clients, and act as a point of contact for the client in the absence of the Project Director, and provide prompt, comprehensive responses to all client needs and requests. Identify needs of target audiences and provide prompt, responsive, and high quality, effective products, and services that are responsive to those needs. Work closely with the project team to ensure quality control for all project deliverables. Promote project to the public, TTA providers, federal staff, and other federal partners. Provide oversight for the delivery of TTA based on evidenced-based practices that provide criminal justice practitioners with the knowledge to improve criminal justice systems. Lead a geographically dispersed team and provide oversight for multi-faceted TTA work. Ensure that work occurs in a learning environment that utilizes Continuous Quality Improvement, and Quality Assurance. Successfully manage a multi-million-dollar project budget and provide responsible stewardship for all project resources including invoicing and routine program and fiscal reporting. Research evidenced-based approaches and develop publications to help improve policies, practices, and programs. Manage subject matter experts to support training and technical assistance, needs assessment, strategic planning, and research and evaluation services. Basic Qualifications Master’s degree in criminal justice, administration, public policy, or related area from an accredited institution. Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in managing criminal justice programs, including experience in TTA and/or capacity building provision in the criminal justice field at a national level. Knowledge of criminal justice social science research and evidence-based programs and practices. Viewed in the criminal justice field as a subject matter expert with a proven track record of delivering TTA at a national level. Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising staff and consultants, in a federal environment, for a large-scale national TTA center. Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and balance multiple perspectives/needs. Possess a knowledge of and experience with TTA at the national level. Applicants will be required to obtain Public Trust Clearance. Professional Skills and Experience Exceptional project management skills, with a focus on TTA project management Proven experience in strategic planning, TTA, change management, capacity building, organizational development, and/or implementation science. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Solid team builder and team player with proven ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to multitask and maintain high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. High level of attention to detail and flexibility to adjust to last-minute requests and changing priorities. A high degree of adaptability, comfort in establishing new directions and the ability to manage and adapt to change. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The salary range for Colorado is - $88,722.00-$150,827.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
