Job Description TechStyleOS is looking for a Trade Compliance Analyst Why Work For Us? The Trade Compliance Analyst will be responsible for working with the business under the direction of the Trade Compliance Director to provide analytical, research and organizational support related to customs and trade compliance to further the Company’s efforts on new and existing product development to the US, Canada and Mexico and risk management. This candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more specific areas of the law such as Free Trade Agreements, HTS classification, and Duty Drawback. In addition, this individual will be the key liaison/contributor on managing Ecommerce orders utilizing the Section 321 and the handling of the IMMEX program. What You Will Do: Support in research and preparation of binding rulings, scope rulings, post-entry amendments, customs audits, internal reviews, CF28 and CF29. HTS classification (US and International), schedule B assignment for all merchandise categories. Provide support with tariff engineering or sourcing options to minimize import duties applicable. Maintains all import and export related records. Assists and leads in process improvements and the implementation of compliance best practices Support trade related projects such as: system and process integration, import projects, modification and or updates to trade compliance policies and procedures. Review and authorize import transactions, invoices for payment processing. Strong and extensive knowledge of North America trade laws and regulations and EU / UK is a plus. Support the Global Supply Chain Strategy team on key initiatives and company goals. Works closely with functional areas to address business concerns, plans and coordinates trade activities, and provide guidance to peers, management and vendors. Knowledge of Duty Drawback and will support setup, claim preparation and audits. What You Can Bring: Bachelor’s degree Extensive experience with Wearing apparel, Footwear and Accessories classifications At minimum 3 years of related experience in International Trade and Compliance; or equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Ability to use sound judgement to make effective decisions within context of compliance and be able to support decisions with facts and details. Ability to research, analyze complex regulations/laws and provide solutions to ensure the import compliance program supports business objectives. Team player who can build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to work in a self-directed environment with excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving ability, who can assist with minimal guidance. Strong understanding of overall entry filing/release operations and be able to communicate effectively with Customs Brokers, Logistics partners and Customs Agents.
