Our work spans physical, digital, and service-based experiences across the globe.    Let's talk about the role You will work closely with the Snr Director of UX on Global UX product strategy and vision. Whilst a large part of your role will be leading, supporting and developing the team, you will be hands on, and you will engage and own some key projects end to end. You will execute to the highest standards and set a high bar for your team to aspire to. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the definition and alignment of the UX Design Team strategy and vision to support and enable the product portfolios and roadmaps your team will be working on and contributing to. You will ensure broad socialization of the UX Design Strategy and create strong engagement and buy in with key stakeholders You’ll be an active partner to the GPM leadership team, working with them to solve problems, ideate, imagine, and create You will ensure that the user’s voice, product vision and outcomes based roadmap is represented and embedded across Design teams You will ensure that work is prioritized and trade-offs are made based on customer and business value, grounded in data You will actively support removing roadblocks as needed and help guide the team through ambiguity and challenges You will be a strategic thinker and storyteller who influences decisions and effectively persuades others You and your team will continually develop a deep understanding across all of our users, products and business, to ensure we design holistically, and create products, solutions and services with user empathy at the forefront of what and how we do things You thrive in complexity and can work in breadth and depth as needed. You are comfortable in both the strategic and hands on aspects of the role You build strong and trusting relationships with stakeholders and work across the organization and with key functions to enable productive partnerships You will ensure there is effective resourcing across the team to support the needs and priorities of our key projects and product teams You will focus on team evolution and what is needed in the future in terms of organizational design for the UX Design team and workforce planning, with key priority always being placed on team culture, high performance, skill and capability development, and talent plans for the team You will play an active role in leading the continued development of the partnership model between UX, PM and Tech to be highly collaborative and fully functioning as one team You will build strong trust, psychological safety and an environment where people can bring their best selves to their work and team You are a strong coach who invests in the development of their people and team, and you enjoy supporting others to grow and watching them succeed You will lead with a growth mindset and create an environment where team members can fail and learn fast, creating the safety and trust to do so You will create a culture where there is a strong focus on empathy, listening and where everyone feels their perspective is needed, and diversity of thought is valued You will encourage dialogue that surfaces diverse and opposing viewpoints and hold yourself and your team accountable to commit to decisions once made and collaborate together You will be flexible to the needs of our product and project teams and support lean and rapid experimentation in UX where it makes sense You know how to execute, how to get project and initiatives across the finish line You will actively embed best practices and standardization across the UX Design team as a whole and set metrics and measures of success tightly aligned to our product and business deliverables You and your team will actively work with and leverage the expertise of the centers of excellence within UX, such as Research and Content to maximize value and holistic experience creation You will be a UX Design Champion and be a leader and contributor to the UX Community of Practice You will develop and manage to budget, prioritizing quality and efficiency You are adaptable and able to change and adjust as needed and stay flexible based on business and team needs to achieve the best outcomes. You will lead and continue to build a talented and high performing global UX Design Team across hardware and digital, bringing these teams closer together in how we think about our products and how we design across the whole eco-system for the entire experience. Qualifications Significant experience in product design and proven design team leadership experience Experience of working within a medium to large global organization and working across the enterprise Demonstrates a customer obsessed approach, a passion for taking action and drive to continually create impact Strong relationship builder, able to influence and create followership Leads with a global mindset with significant experience designing and delivering world class experiences through others Data savvy and able to embed data, metrics and measures into a culture Excellent learning agility and high business acumen Strong coach and mentor to others Strong written and verbal communication skills A robust portfolio of product design work that illustrates some hands-on work but mostly work performed through others in your team/s A proven track record of solving complex design problems with design led thinking and execution to the highest standards Experienced people leader with at least 5 years experience of leading a UX Design / other UX disciplines Experience of working in close partnership with UX specializations such as research, operations, content strategy, ux writing, service design BA degree or higher in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Interactive Design or related field or significant equivalent experience Desirable Hardware and Digital Design experience Working within a Product Management and Product Team model Experience working with and partnering with Product Development teams Prior experience of working within a regulated healthcare environment We are shaping the future at ResMed, and we recognize the need to build on and broaden our existing skills and continue to attract and retain the world’s best talent. Employees accrue fifteen days Paid Time Off (PTO) in their first year of employment, receive 11 paid holidays plus 3 floating days and are eligible for 14 weeks of primary caregiver or two weeks of secondary caregiver leave when welcoming new family members. Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills. This role is eligible to receive an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance. This role may be eligible to receive stock equity based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance, subject to the discretion of company.
