This person will work closely with the Affiliate Accounting and Leadership teams as well as the Business Intelligence team to compile, consolidate, and analyze data to support decision-making and executive presentations. This position will also serve as an expert in our new Netsuite Global ERP, analyzing, developing and documenting Company requirements and translating those requirements into Netsuite solutions to solve business issues and/or needs. You will partner with stakeholders to play the key role in leading, planning, and executing business systems initiatives across various business units. You will also play a key role in ongoing system analysis and maintenance, troubleshooting and best practices recommendations as it relates to NetSuite solutions.
Responsibilities:
Netsuite –Technical and Administrative Ownership around Netsuite architecture – Troublshooting accounting issues within the system, creating saved searches and workflows to maximizing efficiencies within the tool
Work with internal stakeholders to analyze complex needs and issues, and define best practices to translate business requirements into functional NetSuite systems.
Execute implementation of Coupa and the design and documentation of associated processes across the organization.
Support and troubleshooting of our Concur Time and Expense tool across the organization
Ensure clear and complete documentation of procedures, processes.
Create training materials and facilitate NetSuite end-user training.
Effectively communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation to management, peers, staff, and other team members to ensure issues and solutions are understood cross-functionally.
Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts.
Advise leadership on potential business impact of new technologies and systems towards improving efficiencies and/or strengthen internal controls.
Keep abreast with new technologies, with an eye towards their relevancy to the company's future architectural needs.
Assist with data analysis, reporting needs, continuous improvement initiatives, change management and support for optimal usage within NetSuite.
Perform functional configuration and enhancements, system maintenance and business process testing for NetSuite maintenance, which includes managing custom fields, forms, records, workflows, searching and reporting, and user roles to support business requirements.
Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close the financial period.
Support month end and year end close procedures.
Participate in other projects as required.
Keys to success:
Structured analytical approach to problem solving and looks for process improvement opportunities. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment and exhibit a willingness to track down data.
Data Analysis -Must be able to manipulate large amounts of data from disparate sources and ensure accuracy and integrity of sales and financial numbers.
Partners with Marketing Intelligence team to create customized reporting and analyses. Creates digital dashboard/reports to evaluate key objectives and designs and provides ad hoc reports.
Communicates effectively and can build and present findings to management.
Develops, recommends, and implements ideas and projects that will result in improved efficiency, productivity, quality, and operational savings.
Qualifications:
5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise systems required.
Minimum 2 years of experience with NetSuite preferred.
Strong detailed understanding of common industry standard business practices.
Experience with change management processes and documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work creatively in a problem-solving environment.
Ability to present effectively to an audience of individuals both up and down the organization structure.
Ability to work in our Baltimore office 2 days a week.
