Job Description Savage X Fenty is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Technology organization. We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who will lead QA efforts that power our end-to-end tech platform while also guiding our team of offshore manual QA engineers, as well as bridging the gap with our QA automation tools and infrastructure. This is a hands-on role. In this role, you will play a strong role in planning and executing strategic test plans that will guide teams to transform vision (product design & architecture plans) into reality (agile development sprints). You will manage projects through the software development lifecycle & be responsible for communicating progress along the way. This position will report to the Senior QA Manager. This position has the option to work on a flexible hybrid schedule from our headquarters in El Segundo, California or remotely full time with a requirement to attend on-site quarterly planning meetings. What you will do: Lead and mentor a team of off-shore manual QA engineers Develop, document, and maintain test cases and other test artifacts like test data and data validation, as well as identify use-cases, negative testing, etc. Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plan Collaborate with our development and release teams to help build out a robust CI/CD pipeline for releases Help with issue classification and Triage - isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management Use JIRA software to keep track of tasks and schedules; provide regular reports on project statuses, milestones, & blockers Ensure milestones are clearly defined and met to keep projects on-track. Identify risks/blockers and proactively work to prioritize and resolve them Foster a team culture that sets realistic expectations & values healthy work-life balance What you bring: 4 years of QA technical experience within an agile and CICD environment, preferably in e-commerce Experience or interest in leading a QA team, effectively organizing and delegating tasks across QA team members to complete projects. Demonstrated ability in working cross functionally with automation engineers to help draft and design automation coverage, making it an integral piece in the software development and testing process. Working knowledge of SQL syntax for data validation High degree of personal integrity & strong work ethic. Positive attitude & a desire to learn and grow in this role Well-versed in Agile methodologies and principles Experience with JIRA software or similar; advanced JIRA skills preferred Experience working cross-functionally with multi-disciplinary technology teams, including Product, Engineering and/or Data Strong project and process management skills; thinks critically to identify, suggest, & implement solutions to complex problems Well-organized & able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously; comfortable with time-sensitive projects & deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective communicator with both technical & non-technical audiences Willing to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get to the best answer and win as a team Our Tools and Tech Stack: Github Jenkins ReactJS SQL server NodeJS API Selenium Webdriver IO Browser Stack Why work in Technology Operations at Savage X?
