Unarmed Security Officer - Day or Night Shift - $21.93hr ($17.70hr $4.23 Health and Welfare)

General Duties:
a. Observation: Report to Staff all personnel entering the facility/grounds when suspected of carrying weapons, showing hostility, or being unauthorized personnel (e.g., children unaccompanied by adults, or solicitors).
b. Screening: Employees will be responsible for conducting checks of patients, visitors and employees at the entrance area before they can enter any facility to ensure and help limit the spread of COVID-19. Employees will notify Police Operation personnel if they have a positive screening. The post requires continuous observation and checking of persons entering the facility to ensure they have been properly screened. If person is unruly or disorderly contact Police Operation and request a Police Officer.
c. Building/Grounds Surveillance: Conduct foot patrols and maintain an operations journal, documenting all security related activity.
d. Traffic: Shall Maintain the safety and efficiency of traffic, as well as the safety of pedestrians while allowing COVID-19 screening tasks to proceed.
Education/Experience:
a. Shall possess a high school diploma or equivalency, and have two (2) years’ experience demonstrating the ability to meet and deal with the general public and the ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress;
b. Shall demonstrate the ability to read, understand and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instruction, and training materials;
c. Shall demonstrate the ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate and detailed reports;
d. Shall be literate in English to the extent of reading and understanding printed regulation, detailed written orders, training instruction and material, and shall be able to compose reports which convey complete information in a clear and concise manner, but accurate and detailed of incidents occurring on his/her tour of duty.
ii. Health and Physical Fitness Requirements:
a. Possess binocular vision correctable to 20/30 (Snellen);
b. Be capable of hearing ordinary conversation at 15ft with either ear without benefit of a hearing aid;
