As a Package Designer and Procurement Manager at 1st Phorm, you will get to do more than just create mockups and prototypes of product packages and labels. You will work with one of the fastest-growing companies in the Midwest in a variety of capacities within the sports, nutrition, and fitness industry. You will work cross-departmentally to assess business needs and create packaging and labels that increase sales of a product. You will also work closely with multiple departments to determine procurement needs and timing for product packaging and labels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop labels, packaging, point of sale materials and procure printed product materials for production
- Work with quality control and product development teams to ensure current and future products have sufficient packaging and label inventory at the ready
- Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with business employees to create cost-effective packaging solutions
- Collaborate with marketing team members and other designers to ensure packaging meets branding and marketing goals
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and product details to conceptualize effective packaging designs
- Meet with suppliers to come up with ideas
- Assess industry standards and requirements and implement them effectively into the packaging of a product
- Use software and design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, 3D software programs to bring packaging concepts to life
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Highly competent in Adobe Creative Suite
- Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with accountants and other business employees to create cost-effective packaging solutions
