As the Social Media Specialist, you will be held to a high standard in three main areas: Content creation, In-store promotions, Customer engagement, and capture of amazing Guest Experiences. You'll work closely with the leadership to set social media platforms, standards and expectations. You’ll provide support members of the marketing and sales team to highlight and ensure our guests always receive exceptional service and have a great experience.

The Work
The Social Media Specialist will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for marketing projects and all things social media, including:

- Lead/participate in content brainstorming and creation for social media platforms
- Interact with our customers on social media; resolve customer experience issues, reply to reviews, find ways to surprise and delight our customers
- Engage through social listening and prospective customer engagement via social media (i.e., liking photos, leaving comments on photos, engagement tactics)
- Prepare and schedule social media posts
- Support brand/location website page management
- Track and analyze data from marketing initiatives to measure performance
- Contribute to competitor research and analysis
- Support the identification of new trends and ideas; follow and report on social media trends like news tools, memes and more
- Support coordination and execution of marketing and social media activities and other assignments
The Requirements
- Team player with 1 years social media experience
- Educational credits in marketing, communications or public relations, preferred
- Ability to work 20 to 25 hours per week in office
- Strong communications skills and ability to write in “brand voice”
- Proven ability to create engaging, attractive videos and photos in a deadline-based environment
- Excellent awareness of social media and cultural trends
- Passion for collaboration, harmony, and respect for teamwork
- Ability to take and follow direction, but also problem solve independently
- Curious mindset and ability to think outside the box
- Experience with social media marketing platforms like Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Sprout, etc. a plus
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or an editing software also a plus
- Positive attitude, patience, cool-headedness, and passion for making people smile
- High level listening and communication skills supported by strong organizational and multitasking skills
