The department of Occupational Health Safety Control has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sr. Program Manager to work at UHealth. The Manager, Safety provides subject matter knowledge and expertise in the management of safety programs within the University of Miami Environmental Health and Safety Department. Ensures that the University’s activities follow all federal, state, and local regulations. Additionally, the Manager, Safety provides emergency response support for activities requiring safety expertise. Implements strategic tasks that align new Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Sustainability and Continuity programs with an organization’s business strategy and goals. This includes the establishment and maintenance of the following programs: Occupational Health Programs, Environmental Compliance, Sustainability & Continuity Programs, Occupational Safety (OSHA Required) Programs, Radiation Safety Programs, and Clinical Engineering Programs Supervises long-term strategies of smaller divisional programs. Prepares reports regarding program status, costs, and activities. Works alongside OHSC Directors to ensure divisional goals are achieved. Creates program roadmaps for high-level departmental goals. Develops key metrics and recommends improvements to existing programs. Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives. Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement. Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance. Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity. Work closely with program manager, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives. Manage program teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives. Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives. Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department. Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree(required) in relevant field. Master's Degree preferred. Smartsheet Certification required within 90 days of hire. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required within 6 months of hire. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, developing & managing programs. Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes: Knowledge of business and management principles. Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations. Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan. Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others. Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others. Ability to understand both technical and business vision and communicate it to both technical and non-technical partners. Working knowledge of change management principles and performance improvement processes. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment. Proficiency in computer software (Advanced Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to C-Suite and other key stakeholders.
