Job Description Position is responsible for full service of the creative design and optimization for all print equipment. This position plays a key role in the drive for equipment and ink sales through pre-sales and post-sales activities with prospective and current customers. Pre-Sales support includes but is not limited to customer visits with Sale Managers, creating customer samples, developing and performing customer demonstrations. Post-sales support includes but is not limited to applications training and print production optimization to drive adoption of printer technology and enhanced ink consumption with new, existing, and potential Dip-Tech Customers. Responsibilities Related to the Job: Develop and maintain training programs and solutions for our customers’ operational and creative personnel. Provide customized training where necessary. 20% Provide technical support to sales force for potential and current customers including location visits, and developing and executing demonstrations. 20% Design, and develop Dip-Tech samples for customers, trade shows, and marketing efforts in the Americas 10% Provide application and printer/production optimization for existing and new customers in the Americas 20% Lead and participate in special projects in support of sales growth as assigned by the North American Sales Manager 20% Strongly demonstrate Ferro values of innovation and collaboration with both internal and external customers. 10% Responsibilities Related to the Job/Specific Site/Specific MBU: Excellent oral and written communications skills Meet organizational objectives to increase utilization of all Dip-Tech printers in North America. Meet organizational objectives to increase customer ink consumption to achieve business unit forecasts Required Qualifications and Knowledge: BS/BA degree with 3-5 years’ experience with digital graphic applications, color management, training and customer support or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to communicate fluently in multiple languages – English, Spanish, Hebrew for example. Technical knowledge of Inkjet printing systems, Apple and windows graphic applications, and RIP software Ability to translate creative design through optimization of technical equipment Ability to lead complex design projects that include new digital printing technology. Responsible for preparing and providing written reports as directed, including responsibility to insure similar accountability for direct reports, as appropriate. Coordinates customer technical service including internal and customer on-site trouble-shooting and support, technical presentations, and support quality/ complaint investigations. Develops close working relationships with other Ferro cross-functional departments, including R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Customer Service that create and promote an environment of cooperation and effectiveness necessary to meet the current and future needs of the business, both in sustainability and growth. Physical requirements may include lifting to 50 lbs., standing or sitting for extended periods. And working with Computer monitors and workstations. Working conditions can involve customer locations that contain hazardous situations such as glass, heavy equipment, forklifts, and other common hazards found Preferred Qualifications: Advanced knowledge and experience in Graphics and Color management Certificates, licenses, and/or registrations related to technical and creative design Travel Requirements: Travel required 60%-70% domestically and internationally Competencies/Job Skills: Highly developed color sense and understanding of color theory Must be highly motivated, demonstrate strong communication leadership and technical skills Must be adaptable to organizational and market challenges. High focus on customer satisfaction Effective creative thinking and ability to drive complicated creative projects Ability to learn cutting edge digital design platforms.
