The Opportunity Flash FW team in Taipei is focused on developing bleeding edge NVMe storage products with focus on datacenter. The storage test engineering (STE) team based in Taipei is part of larger Flash FW team, focused on FW validation, Tools development and simulator development. Job Responsibilities: As a Principal Engineer Firmware Validation, you will be responsible for developing test cases for Marvell’s SSD controller firmware, executing the test plan, automation of test cases, setting up and managing the Continuous Integration systems and finding firmware bugs. Your responsibilities will include Develop test strategies for the product features Develop test processes and ensure the processes are followed Be on top of developments in the storage technology and implement state of the art testing techniques and methodologies Develop test cases according to test strategy Review test results and bug reports for accuracy and completeness Execute test cases and document test results in qTest Develop test automation using Python Measure and improve the code coverage through test improvement Report bugs in Jira with thorough documentation, test logs and traces Develop test scripts for testing firmware on simulation platform Understand protocols and firmware design to develop effective test cases Participate in peer code reviews and test plans Collaborate with firmware developers, applications engineers and FAEs in debugging Mentoring and training As a part of global Flash Firmware organization and STE team, you will collaborate with other local and remote managers to Implement unified test automation practices and share improvements Implement unified test management system Implement unified continuous integration Plan and track work items that are required to support other groups (e.g. simulator development, tools development, etc.) Requirements: Requirements: B.S./M.S. (CS/EE) with 15 years of total experience 7 years of programming experience in C/C and Python languages. Low level firmware development experience would be an added advantage Excellent English communication skills Experience in Datacenter SSD product development and NAND technology Experience in testing products implementing NVMe protocol Experience in testing server management protocols MCTP, Redfish, NVMe-MI, etc. In depth and complete understanding of NVMe and PCIe protocols A successful candidate will have the first hand experience in SSD Testing tools like DriveMaster, FIO, VDBench, ezFIO, CrystalDiskMark, PCMarch, etc. Testing SSDs using OakGate and Sanblaze test appliances Test automation using Python and Ansible Test automation architecture Using test management systems for test case and test result documentation Setting up protocol analyzers, capturing traces and analyzing traces Testing SSD security features like SPDM, TCG and secure boot.
