Position Snapshot Our Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators ensure that wastewater treatment systems are properly operating at all times. Day in the Life While no two days are exactly the same, as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, you can expect to: Maintain and operate waste water and storm water treatment systems. Record daily system readings and complete inspections. Report, troubleshoot and maintain any malfunction records. Participate in a weekly safety and compliance meeting. Collect process samples. Ensure the work area is safe and compliant at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. What you need to apply High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Knowledge of wastewater and storm water treatment processes 1-3 years of experience with electrical, mechanical and piping systems (plumbing) Valid driver’s license Comfort wearing a respirator as needed Ability to work a flexible work schedule (including overtime) Ability to come onsite in the event of an emergency (after working hours) For your hard work Opportunity for professional growth Employer paid certifications and training Paid Time Off US Ecology is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
