As a Caregiver you will provide quality care by promoting a safe environment, adhering to the plan of care and ensuring we respect and adhere to our client’s rights. Duties may include the following:
Hygiene Care:
Bathing: Assist the client with bathing, ensuring they are comfortable and safe.
Grooming: Help with hair care, nail care, and other grooming activities.
Oral Care: Assist with brushing teeth, using mouthwash, and any other oral hygiene activities.
Dressing and Undressing: Support the client in dressing and undressing as needed.
Toileting Activities: Assist with bathroom needs, including helping the client use the toilet.
Nutrition:
Meal Preparation: Prepare meals based on the client's dietary requirements.
Administer Meals: Ensure the client receives meals according to their prescribed diet.
Health Monitoring:
Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature.
Height and Weight: Measure and record height and weight as necessary.
Mobility and Exercise:
Range of Motion Exercises: Assist the client with both active and passive range of motion exercises as specified in the care plan.
Walking Assistance: Help the client with walking, especially during outdoor activities or transportation to appointments.
Transportation:
Doctor Appointments: Assist with transportation to medical appointments.
Outdoor Activities and Shopping: Accompany the client for outdoor activities and shopping trips.
Documentation:
Observations: Document any observed changes in the client's condition.
Reporting: Report any significant changes or concerns to the Director of Nursing or relevant supervisor.
Caregiver Qualifications:
High school diploma.
Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required.
Valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance, BLS CPR card, and an up-to-date TB test.
Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull.
Must be able to lift or transfer up to 50 pounds.
