Floor Manager

260 Sample Sale is a New York based family owned & operated business running weekly sample sale events in NYC, LA, Miami, Online, Chicago and our newest market Dallas! Our private & public events include top brands in apparel, accessories and beauty, including: Marc Jacobs, Aquazurra, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Oscar de la Renta, SoulCycle, Reformation, J Crew, NEST Fragrances, & more!

Each week 260 Sample Sale will be hosting different brands. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment & looks forward to new challenges each week.

Your Role:

Responsibilities consist of but mayl not be limited to:

● Must be available to work one weekend day

● 3 consecutive days off will be considered vacation and is required to give a 2 week

● notice

● Daily responsibilities begin by familiarizing yourself with the daily staff and floor layout.

● Responsible for lunch and break distribution of all sales associates (register, coat-check,

and the stock team if they are assisting the floor)

● Discuss with the store manager what goals are for the day.

● Coordinate morning staff meetings to explain objectives.

● Delegate employee responsibilities and positions for the day.

● Monitor store racks and all inventory to continuously replenish throughout the day.

● Report any attendance/performance issues to the store manager/Human Resources

● Praising associates by adding positive points when earned.

● Knowledge of credit and cash operations.

● Maintain a clean and organized sales floor at all times.

● Implement a dress code policy.

● Maintain an organized fitting room

● Responsible for End of day Recaps and social media communication on basecamp

● Give lunch plans and game plans to store managers for approval

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of retail manager experience
• Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility and availability to work weekends including holidays
• Team player / great team spirit
• The ability to interact with clients and give advice on general trends
• High School Diploma Required
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to stand 8-10 hours in one shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
