BI System Administrator

The Position The Opportunity: The function of the BI System Administrator will be to ensure the accessibility, security, stability, integrity and efficient performance of owned systems which support core business functions. System performance and stability is to be monitored and benchmarked against the availability requirements for each of the business applications in the environment. Adherence to policy, change control and regulatory requirements, to scheduled monitoring and maintenance and to standardized documentation procedures of all systems and applications is required. This role requires proven professionalism and effective communication, analytical, problem- solving and team collaboration skills. Job Facts: Support business users through resolution of inquiries, access requests, and reported issues of owned platforms Collaborate with IT as needed to resolve upstream system issues and communicate impact to downstream stakeholders Administer owned systems including resolving system issues, applying upgrades, and managing user access Document processes and procedures related to the administration of owned systems Implement and utilize system monitoring tools to ensure owned platform availability and integrity in alignment with defined Service Level Objectives Owned platforms include, but are not limited to, Alteryx Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and custom .NET applications Who you are: Bachelor’s Degree, experience may be considered in lieu of degree 4 years of analytical experience Participation in an approved accelerated development, fellowship or rotational program may be considered in lieu of experience Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience administering Alteryx Server or similar platform; 2 years experience preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Computer Technology or equivalent field Experience with administering complex systems with many users Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks within an interdisciplinary environment that includes data scientists, analysts, business stakeholders and consultants Experience with Agile development methods including Scrum and Kanban preferred Excellent communication and effective problem-solving skills Relocation is not available for this position. #LI-BP1 Who we are At Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
