Cloud Engineer

This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.
 

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Cloud Engineer in order to support its government customers in the Northern, VA area.

 Position is located in the Tysons area with some potential travel to local site(s). Some OCONUS and CONUS travel may be required.
The Sponsor maintains a customized application which provides workflow and research with the ability to review, disposition, build a profile and update or nominate candidates to other Sponsor industry organizations. A prototype is being redeveloped by the Federal Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) for a new, modernized system which will move into the Sponsor’s cloud infrastructure. The Sponsor is responsible for building specific aspects of the system and the integration and implementation into production.

Position Requirements:

Data Engineering Support

• Demonstrated experience utilizing big data processing tech such as Spark, Pyspark, and Java.

• Demonstrated experience data mapping, extraction, transformation and loading.

• Demonstrated experience building analytic reports in tools such as CloudWatch and Kibana.

• Demonstrated experience processing and converting of OS and Data Logs into reports and metrics Dashboards.

• Demonstrated experience with Regular Expressions (RegEx).

• Demonstrated experience with SQL, MySQL, PostgresSQL.

• Demonstrated experience with Data file type processing XML, JSON.

• IDEs and Data Modeling through Notebooks and Visual Basic.

• Demonstrated experience ETL’ing data from disparate structured & unstructured data formats into enriched, query-friendly structured data in indexed files.

• Demonstrated experience performing extensive data review and data quality analysis.

• Demonstrated experience developing ETL design documentation including source and target mapping and data dictionary information.

Systems Engineering Support

• Demonstrated experience utilizing JENKINS, Application Registry and Configuration Management.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing Cloudformation and Yaml Scripts.

• Demonstrated experience developing system dashboards to monitor system jobs and performance.  

• Demonstrated experience hosting and supporting COTS/GOTS Applications.

• Demonstrated experience with middleware services. 

• Demonstrated experience with S3, SQS/SNS, Lambda, EC2s and DynamoDB

• Demonstrated experience with developing Application and Query Services

• Demonstrated experience with hardening system infrastructure to support varying levels of data sensitivity. 

Systems Architecture Support

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing an Enterprise Systems Architecture.

• Demonstrated experience developing Cloud Based Eco-System that includes multi-fabric networks

• Demonstrated experience keeping up with industry best practices, tech trends and user demand.

• Demonstrated experience exhibiting leadership skills, ability to lead through influence, and ability to pull disparate groups together towards a common outcome

• Demonstrated experience developing resource investment profiles.

• Demonstrated experience responding to short-fuse tasks, to include those from senior officials.

• Demonstrated experience with analytics to effectively utilize data to drive and inform decisions.

• Demonstrated experience exhibiting excellent written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex information.

• Demonstrated experience across all technology layers (infrastructure through application).

IT Project Management Support

• Demonstrated experience working with agile teams and agile development practices 

• Demonstrated experience establishing and implementing effective requirement practices to include decomposing requirements and documenting work tasks.
