Position: Bilingual Production Lead
Primary Function:
This position oversees the production lines or areas processing food products and sanitation of the processing areas. Requires working with allergens and raw products.
Assists the area supervisor with the day-to-day operation of the area, like setup and teardown.
This is a full-time position (40 Hours), but the schedule may be three or four days a week depending on Shift. Overtime may be required based on production needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Oversees work at various stations along the production lines.
- Monitors employee well-being and coordinates bathroom break schedules for the department
- Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing, and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, and Process Safety Management-related matters.
- Ensures that the qualities of the products are being met according to the product specification of QA and USDA if applicable.
- Ensures that all equipment throughout the departments is running smoothly.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintain proper documentation on required paperwork.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Worked at least 2 years in a leadership role in a food manufacturing setting within the past 3 years.
- Must be willing to learn all jobs in assigned areas.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Good communication skills
- Good attendance
- Must have good math skills
- Able to work without very much supervision.
- Ability to work with and lead a diverse group of employees.
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 dB.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
- Must handle the weight of 8 to 10 lbs repetitively, occasionally lifting, pushing, or pulling 40 to 70 lbs.
- Exposure to ingredients and allergens used in the processing facility.
- Ability to work on their feet for the entire shift.
- Ability to work with tools, like scissors, knives, sealers, and hydraulic can openers among other tools for the duration of the shift.
