Job Details: Job Summary: Shape and win new business by leading captures which provide innovative solutions for our customer’s most challenging problems. You will be responsible for the full cycle of business development, leading a cross-functional team to develop and execute capture strategies from opportunity identification through proposal submittal. Successful Capture Directors will be comfortable with the multitude of supporting and leading roles they will be required to perform throughout the capture process as they influence differentiated technical solutions, program management approaches, and pricing strategies. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, this position typically works under minimum supervision and direction. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Using the Cubic business development process (tailored from to Shipley), develop and execute capture strategies to position Cubic for the win Understand customer challenges and apply current or future Cubic products to the solution Develop and execute differentiated, winning capture strategies Develop and execute to capture schedule Develop and execute to capture and B&P budgets Develop a pipeline of opportunities aligned with strategic business objectives Leverage BD and Sales team to execute customer contact plans Lead execution of Black Hat reviews Create price-to-win (PTW) models. Make objective comparison to external PTW for strategic captures Support the development of program execution plan Support the development of proposed solution Lead successful proposal development through executive signoffs Support IRaD and product development efforts Support development and execution of the overall business plan Minimum Job Requirements: Four-year college degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field, plus a minimum of ten years’ experience in the marketing of electronic systems and/or products to U.S. and foreign government customers. Familiarity with customers and solutions in secure LOS/BLOS wideband data links, troposcatter, satellite communications, ruggedized compute/networking, or advanced RF mmWave technology is required. Self-motivated and highly driven leader with a sense of urgency to stay in front of strategic opportunities. Prior military experience is desirable. Project/program management is desirable. Must have extensive knowledge of and experience in the acquisition process for complex military systems. Requires the ability to effectively deal with technical and management representatives of U.S. and Foreign Government and industrial customers. Must have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Must be able to travel as required. US Citizenship is required. Minimum Secret clearance required with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret or higher.
