30hop restaurant group in Coralville, IA is seeking a Human Resource Assistant to join our growing team. The Human Resources Assistant will help support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department by performing administrative tasks and services, including onboarding, data management, and compliance audits.

30hop Group is a multi-unit restaurant group with over 350 employees and growing! We have locations in Coralville, Cedar Rapids, and Ankeny, IA with plans to open new locations as early as the end of 2024 in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.
Pay Range :
$20-$23 per hour based on experience
Schedule :
- Monday-Friday
- Up to 40 hours per week
- Flexible hybrid-remote work environment. In-office days are in Coralville, IA 2-3 days per week.

Accountabilities :
- Assist with HR daily functions
- Data Administration
- Applicant Tracking & Onboarding
- Assist with answering employment-related inquiries
- Assist with enforcing company policies & practices
Essential Functions :
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- May assist with some payroll functions including answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee trainings.

Qualifications :
- 1 years of experience in an office or assistant role.
- Some understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications :

Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Previous HR assistant experience
- Experience with the service / restaurant industry
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged sitting and computer use
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to commute to Coralville, IA on in-office days.
