The role requires strong leadership, planning and project management of the activities for each release and as the Program Manager, you will be focusing on maintaining and improving our company’s standards utilizing the existing PMO. You will successfully support the strategy and business growth while transitioning from niche markets to mass markets applications. This includes merger & acquisition (M&A), corrections services expansion, Digital Transformation initiatives and internal business development projects. Know the customer needs. Understand the magic. Connect the two. As a technology leader our goal is to transform the way the world works making the customer the priority. And this becomes even more of a priority as we enter into mass market applications, like autonomy and assisted driving. The Program Manager will be collaborating with other department Managers and project managers. As the Program Manager, you will be part of the TAP PMO, being responsible for overarching programs and projects within the Strategy and Products group. This role will report to the Business Operations Director. Responsibilities: The responsibilities in this role are split into two parts: Management of Strategic Programs Management of overarching strategic projects and programs, such as Digital Transformation, regional network expansion and densification, M&A initiatives, etc. Strategy Coordination and PMO improvement Coordination of existing PMO and establishing project management governance and guidelines across TAP to ensure standardization, transparency and efficiency Some key role examples: Planning: Working with stakeholders to lead, plan and implement projects to deliver against roadmaps. Help shape a clear vision of the future state and what is needed to get there. Maintaining a robust plan for delivery through the release. Driving Alignment: Coordinating activities between all stakeholders to deliver within the business constraints. Understand Resource constraints and work with business teams to resolve conflicting priorities. Working closely across sector/division teams and stakeholders to deliver each release. Monitoring and Controlling: Controlling project scope with the teams. Managing the trade-off decisions of schedule, quality and time with the project sponsors and workstream leaders. Issue Identification and Resolution: Identifying and helping the delivery team to manage risk. Identifying issues and remedial action plans, finding solutions, escalating through the program as required to find resolution. Influencing: Having a strong leadership ability to influence the outcome of the project leveraging strong project management skills as well as best in class and industry recognized Project Management methodologies (TAP PMO). Delivery: Leading and helping teams to improve their delivery. Coaching and mentoring teams in improving their contribution and delivery. Guiding, mentoring and motivating project team members and influencing them to take positive action and engage in continuous improvement of the project management process. PMO: Maintain and improve existing PMO framework and infrastructure Requirements/Skills: Bachelors in a relevant discipline (Geodesy, Mapping, Surveying) or in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management Experience of project delivery as a project manager is essential. Formal accreditations such as PMI are desirable but not essential. Proven organizational/planning skills with the ability to influence strategy and manage complex projects and organize workloads in a structured way within tight deadlines and high pressure environment Business acumen to understand the cost impacts of decisions, spot cost saving opportunities and increase value and revenue generation Ability to combine project management standards with a high paced change environment Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver high quality reports and presentations to colleagues at all levels Able to lead through influence and enable cross-functional teams Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines Ability to communicate project needs to internal and external teams/vendors Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills, verbal, and written communication skills Fluency in English is essential Key Organizational Interfaces and Location: Reporting: direct to the TAP Business Operations Director Additional interfaces: TAP Leadership team, Trimble/TAP horizontal teams, Trimble Product Management council Job Location: Munich (Germany) is preferred but Westminster, Colorado or all other locations considered Travel: To be determined post-covid
