ESG Investing Associate - Fixed Income

Summary: The Fixed Income ESG Integration Associate will function as a conduit between the ESG Investing Team and NB’s full Fixed Income platform, and the variety of strategies it includes. The Associate will support the adherence to, and implementation of ESG integration practices in research and investment processes across products and strategy solutions. The selected individual will have ample opportunity to learn and grow under the team’s leadership, the Director of ESG Integration in Fixed Income, and key collaborators across the firm. Responsibilities: Partner with the Fixed Income Strategy and Investing teams to advance and integrate ESG related data, analytics, methodologies and sector specific best-practices Support ESG/Sustainable product development and enhancement of offerings that leverage ESG and Sustainability methodologies across the platform Maintain quantitative models and portfolio analytics for process integrity of investment vehicles and separate accounts; develop system fluency and assist with process efficiency and streamlining Assist with maintaining and enhancing sector level ESG integration approaches and implementation of best-practices; remain current with Fixed Income sector specific developments and advancements in ESG practices, provider services, and collaborative industry efforts Assist with developing Fixed Income sector specific engagement frameworks that will help guide direct and collaborative approaches Support analysis and reporting of ESG and sustainability metrics for purposes such as client reporting, mandated disclosure, and other internal or external communications Collaborate with the ESG, Fixed Income Investing and Marketing teams to produce various print and digital collateral including white papers, pitch books, client communications, etc. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience and interest in ESG related analysis or impact investing; at least one year preferred though open to relevant experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ability to perform in fast paced environment; excellent organizational skills and strong time management skills Resourceful with ability to navigate to solutions independently, and able to handle multiple and changing priorities with a solution-oriented mindset Ability to communicate effectively, with strong writing capabilities Keen attention to detail and strong critical thinking capabilities Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and focus on results; eagerness and drive to learn the business and contribute to team and organization goals Neuberger Berman is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
