Parker designs, validates, and manufactures innovative x-ray imaging components and subsystems for healthcare, industry, homeland security, research, science and government, and precision machined parts for the aerospace sector. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on, high-energy Bookkeeper to join us at our beautiful facility in Danbury, CT.

The Position:
Reporting to the CEO, the overall responsibility of the Bookkeeper is to maintain accurate financial records and reports, ensuring all transactions are recorded promptly, and assist in the preparation of financial statements. In this role you will:
- Work with leadership on the critical task of identifying and implementing an entirely new bookkeeping system, along with various new processes procedures, based on your knowledge and experience
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, maintain records, and launch reports and financial statements
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Manage bank and general ledger reconciliations as well as payroll postings
- Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
- Prepare quarterly tax filings and perform month-end closings
About You:
- You have a degree or certification in Accounting or Business and at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with a manufacturing company
- You are proficient with cloud-based accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- You possess a strong work ethic and a sense of pride in the work you do
- You enjoy taking on projects and new challenges, using your strong organizational and time management skills to complete tasks with proficiency and keen attention to detail
- You enjoy working in a small office environment where you have autonomy yet a team of colleagues who support and encourage one another
