What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Social Strategy position at 360PRplus?

360PR seeks a dynamic Vice President of Social Strategy to lead our high-performing, growing team. This is an opportunity for an experienced social leader who will build confidence and inspire their team by guiding core components of all social strategy and influencer marketing workstreams. In addition to serving as trusted client counsel you will work arm-in-arm with our creative department and collaborate closely with the agency’s PR/earned media teams to conceptualize full 360 ideas that ensure powerful social media thinking is included in client campaigns.


You will contribute to the agency’s overall performance and serve as a valued leader and resource for clients and account teams as well as play an integral role in the new business process. You will help manage achievement of the agency’s vision, values and management philosophies and will be responsible for working closely with operations and senior agency resources.


This role requires an all-around senior strategist with depth and expertise in business, social and influencer operations, as well as a strong understanding of how brands grow in the Social Age. You have experience from multiple categories, including industry sectors such as fashion & beauty, food & beverage, wellness, travel, adult beverage, gaming & entertainment and parenting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of social and influencer marketing support specialists, fostering an environment of creative and operational excellence.
  • Work collaboratively across agency departments, weaving together social media, public relations, and influencer marketing to elevate brand visibility, engagement, and conversion for clients and new business opportunities.
  • Become an expert on our clients’ business and how their communications objectives help achieve business goals.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration and growth within the department and across the agency, recognizing and nurturing the strengths of each individual to cultivate a winning environment where everyone thrives.
  • Stay ahead of the curve in our ever-evolving industry, harnessing emerging trends, technologies, and consumer insights to inform channel strategy and inspire innovation in content creation, distribution, and engagement.
  • Assess social and digital technological innovations to find ways to further current client offerings (i.e. new social platforms and social listening tools).
  • Participate in new business pitch development and presentations.
  • Work on POVs and thought-leadership pieces for internal and external communications.
  • Lead development of influencer and social media management standards, policies and rules of engagement for the agency.
  • Communicate with client contacts across multiple levels, both at a reporting and strategic counsel level.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, ideally in an agency setting (digital and/or PR agency), with a preference for experience leading and managing social and digital programs.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Efficient project management and budget oversight skills, as well as the ability to proactively problem-solve.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail, creativity in storytelling and a talent for dynamic presentations.
  • Advanced expertise in social media platforms with a proven track record of building brands’ social media strategy and executing successful influencer marketing campaigns that drive both awareness and sales.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of the social and digital ecosystem, including established connections with social platforms and partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in influencer marketing, including setting comprehensive strategies with clear KPIs for success.
  • Detailed knowledge of the paid media landscape and its relevance within a comprehensive social media strategy.
  • Experience with social and influencer marketing SaaS and project management tools such as Sprout Social, CreatorIQ, etc.
  • Analytical skills, capable of interpreting research and media reports to guide social media strategies.
  • Strong understanding of marketing funnel analytics and KPIs and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a track record of meeting deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and working autonomously.
