The Business Development Manager is a member of the Sales Department and reports directly to the Sales Manager. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for signing new business accounts and for hunting new sales opportunities to sell our products and services. 


Essential Functions & Responsibilities 

  • Researching prospective clients and keeping on top of developments in the industry
  • Identifying key decision makers 
  • Keeping projects on-track and holding all stakeholders accountable to established deadlines
  • Hunting new logos and closing new opportunities 
  • Defining, maintaining, and managing a target customer list
  • Contacting prospective clients through a variety of mediums, including social media, phone, email or in person-meeting
  • Cold Calling prospects and making industry connections 
  • Creating and managing quotes through Sage ERP
  • Negotiating contracts and responding to customer RFPs
  • Attending Networking Events & Trade Shows
  • Logging Sales Activities (calls, emails) in HubSpot CRM
  • Managing Sales Pipeline and Forecast 

Requirements

  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Self-Motivated and quota driven 
  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Team Player
  • Resilience 
  • Sense of Urgency 
  • Strong negotiator  
  • 5 years of qualified Sales experience (Sales or Account Management) 
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Business Development Role
