Engineering Technician: We are seeking a high energy, proactive, and team-oriented person to add to our team in our Grand Rapids 3D printer manufacturing facility. Our Engineering Technician will be responsible for supporting the engineering and production teams with machine assembly & troubleshooting, prototype development & testing, engineering documentation, design review, estimating and process improvement. This position will report to the Gearbox3D printer Production Manager and collaborate with other Gearbox3D printer teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Assemble and troubleshoot machines using prints, CAD models and assembly documentation
- Support the design team through all product development phases to bring components from concept to production
- Modify parts and assemblies to comply with fit/form/function
- Lead and implement continuous improvement activities
- Perform other duties as require
Experience and Education:
- Formal training in relevant technical field, certification or Associate’s degree
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical/electrical machine assembly and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and panel building
- Able to prioritize / manage tasks to meet deadlines
- Familiar with CAD; Fusion 360 preferred
- Strong Office 365 experience
- Group communication skills with team-orientated focus
- Understanding of design for manufacturing and manufacturing methods
- Experience with basic shop tools and machining equipment
- Knowledge of GD&T preferred
- Experience with 3D Printing preferred
Travel Requirements: < 5%, Trade show and customer machine installation assistance may be required
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
