The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Responsible for providing process engineering support to all areas of 3M Corona’s manufacturing operations to drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Service and Cost. Additionally, the process engineer will also be responsible for supporting new product development efforts.
3M Corona Operations run multiple shifts. The position is primarily a day shift role, but off-shift and/or weekend coverage will be required as needed.

- Partnering closely with manufacturing operations and providing hands-on support to resolve issues that affect safety, quality, service or cost.
- Identifying and executing process improvement projects related to safety, quality, service, and cost
- Coordinating with maintenance to identify and resolve maintenance issues
- Coordinating with lab to execute new product development projects
- Developing and implementing plans for new process start-ups, new process technology integration and supply chain improvement
- Supporting in rapid resolution of customer complaints and/or process upset conditions that includes conducting effective root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions
- Supporting self and peer technical growth via continuously learning and applying new skills
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Two (2) years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Masters degree in engineering or physical sciences
- 3 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing setting with demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills. Self-starter and able to drive multiple projects
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Practical, detail-oriented and hands-on, with analytical comprehension and data-driven decision making
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading multi-functional teams through projects from planning to completion
- Demonstrated experience leading CI efforts, lean deployments, and driving cost-reduction projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication and organization skills
- SAP experience
- Data analytics experience
- Experience with process automation
