Job Summary
We are hiring a Second Pressmen for 2nd SHIFT. ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE PRESSMAN EXPERIENCE PLEASE!!
2nd shift is 3p-11p
Office location will be in our Fort Worth plant.
Since 2003, we continue to specialize in providing full color sales & marketing materials for businesses and non profits in the DFW area. We are a technology leader in print manufacturing utilizing the latest offset Heidelberg equipment and as we continue to grow we need more quality talent.
We run a successful company which is fast paced with the goal of getting quality work to the customer and working as a team to get it done.
Second Press Operator Responsibilities:
· Operating and properly maintaining a printing press
· Communicating with prepress
· Working as team with another print shift
· Reports to a production supervisor
· Continually inspects equipment for proper functioning
· Perform basic repairs on equipment
· Works with press vendor for troubleshooting
· Completes a regular maintenance schedule on the printing press
· Works with customers on press checks to achieve desired outcome of product within company guidelines
· Utilizes various paper sizes, types and thicknesses
· Receives training, direction from lead pressman
· Maintains company print quality standards set by the supervisor
· Adheres to company production schedules and deadlines
· Maintains inventory supplies for the printing press such as ink, coatings, paper and supplies.
Second Press Operator Tasks:
· Provides a sample of each printed piece for evaluation and approval from supervisor prior to running the full job
· Loads and removes color ink cartridges
· Completes a press log during every shift
· Cuts and mounts blankets
· Loads paper
· Stages and skids paper for different projects and bindery
· Maintains presets for ink, coating and paper thickness & widths
· Gums plates, changes rollers & blankets.
· Tags make ready sheets against good product sheets
· Utilizes color proofs and/or mockups as a guide to check finished product
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Press: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
